Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week Days
Monday- You're too smart for drugs (dress nerdy)
Tuesday- You're a Jean-ious for not doing drugs (wear your blue jeans)
Wednesday- Doing drugs is corny (we will conduct our school wide candy corn class prediction)
Thursday- Get hooked on books not drugs (we will have 15 min. of reading time and bookmark making)
Friday- We have Drug-Free Spirit (wear Ellison wear)

Homework Packets
Homework packets will be coming home each Monday. The packet will consist of two math assignments and two language assignments. These papers will be review work in order to keep the skills “fresh” in your child's mind. The packets will be due on Friday of each week, so your child can work on these when their schedules permit. This is a new school-wide requirement.
Wacky Week Days
Friday, October 7th is Ellison's, "Wild About Ellison" Carnival. To get in the spirit, this week is wacky week.
Monday: Lazy Lion Day (wear your pajamas)
Tuesday: Wild Warthog Day (wild hair day)
Wednesday: Maniac Monkey Day (mix & match)
Thursday: BATer Up (wear your favorite sports/team shirt)
Friday: Loyal Leopard Day (wear your Braves wear)
Social Studies Test Postponed
Just a reminder that our Social Studies Test over Chapter 2: The First Americans has been postponed until Tuesday, October 4th. Students attending GATE will take their test on Wednesday, October 4th.

Social Studies Project
Parents: On Friday, we will be doing a Social Studies project about "Our Nation's Resources". If you have any magazines, newspapers, or advertisements lying around that you could send to school with your child, it would be greatly appreciated.
